NBC and News Corp. own the media. Up until this point the "reviews" of Hulu.com have all been favorable, I wonder why. Here's a review for everyone under 55 that's used the internet more than once. Possibly my favorite quote:
A couple choice quotes: This morning in reading the Leagues press release, I was somewhat frustrated by Jim Jennings claim that the League will "look to work improve our overall business model". A model which leaves small market teams behind.
Well, that was fun. It seems the NLL and the PLPA could not reach an agreement over the weekend.

Taylor Wray, regarded by pundits as the best defender to ever dress for the Calgary Roughnecks, was today traded to the Philadelphia Wings.
After a load of videos, including some of mine, were removed from YouTube (sore subject, I'm still waiting for some answers from the NLL on this one), the NLL announced that they "scored" a deal with the video sharing site.
The hometown boys were in top form on Satuday night as they avenged Friday's loss to the Lumberjax.
Thanks to a tip from former Roughneck announcer Barks, it seems that SportsNet will be showing the NLL All-Star game this year. This is especially good news given that there has been only spotty TV coverage of any NLL game in Canada this year.

You either can put up with him or you hate him, especially after firing fan favorite Head Coach Chris Hall last week. Today Kurt Silcott will be in a live online chat hosted on NLL.com, answering your questions. The chat starts at 9pm EST.
Chris Hall, the only head coach the Calgary Roughnecks have had since the club entered the National Lacrosse League in 2001, has been released. He was let go following last night's 9-12 home loss to the Toronto Rock.
I can't, at least at this point in time, verify whether this is true or not but there seems to be a video going around that makes some question the sanity of the Zune marketing team.

Earlier this week The Calgary Herald had a picture in their paper of the new Calgary Roughneck jersey for the 2007 season. This came as an unexpected surprise to many fans.

The 2007 NLL season will bring a rule change when it starts this December. More specifically, the change concerns the rule that makes scoring from behind the net illegal. Starting this year players will be able to be positioned behind the net and have any goals they score count.

Last night I watched Annapolis which I rented during my two week trial membership for Blockbuster Online. Before last night I hadn’t heard any reviews from friends, family or even strangers about the quality or even story-line for Annapolis.

NYT's Andrew Ross Sorkin reviews the Zune and tells it like it is. Interestingly enough, the female co-host brings out her new iPod Shuffle and they get into some comparisons between the iPod line and the Zune.
It's safe to say that Amazon.com is a behemoth when it comes to online shopping. It has been around seemingly forever and everyone I know uses it over all of the competing websites.

From the article: I try to be a good father. Give my kids mulligans. Work nights to pay For their text messaging. Take them to swimsuit shoots. But compared with Dick Hoyt, I suck.
Soon I'll be interviewing a few of the Calgary Roughneck lacrosse players, both past and present — that I can get a hold of — and I want you to participate as well.

Over the weekend, since I'm without cable TV, I've thought a lot about how the current model of television is broken in the "digital revolution". The biggest question I have at this point is, why isn't all TV on-demand TV (similar to what's being called IPTV)?

Since finding out about the Wulder Susheski trade I've been itching to talk about it. What it looks like from the outside is quite a bit different from what it really was on the inside and thanks to the help of a few friends I've got a bit of an insiders look at this trade.

Over the last couple weeks we've been hearing about how this trade will benefit our beloved Roughnecks, how that new player will be the key to our new season, etc., etc., etc. All of this rhetoric is coming from our questionable General Manager Kurt Silcott.

In the past week there has been quite a few trades between many of the teams in the National Lacrosse League. This was to be expected after the expansion draft where Chicago and New York ended up shaking more than a couple teams' rosters.
